This is my model of a Dutch fire engine or as they are locally called: ''Tankautospuit''. Tankautospuiten are the basic response unit for invervention, having a 6 man crew, a 2000 liter watertank and a host of supplies to tackle: Firefighting, EMS response, Vehicle extrications, Basic Hazmat and basic water rescue.
The model shown is marked with ''BZK''. It stands for Binnenlandse Zaken en Koninkrijksrelaties. Its the official striping pattern for all emergency response vehicles. Since 2006 the emergency services have been slowly transitioning to OOV, a bigger and better visible pattern for in the dark.
